Up to 800 foreigners interested in the remote work program from Georgia
On August 27, the National Tourism Administration’s program “Work Remotely in Georgia” came into effect, which offers foreign citizens the opportunity to work remotely from Georgia.
According to the administration, from August 27 to October 4, up to 800 foreign citizens showed interest in the program.
83 people have already arrived in Georgia to work at a distance – citizens of the USA, Australia, Britain, Russia, Ukraine, New Zealand, and Canada.
As for the applications sent, 53% of those wishing to work from Georgia, 53% are self-employed, 28% work full-time, 19% are entrepreneurs.
In total, applicants represent more than 60 countries of the world. In the top five by request – Russia – 28%, USA – 18%, Belarus – 6%, Britain – 5%, Ukraine – 5%.
Currently, applications are being considered. Already 350 applications approved, 80 rejected.
